More than 3 months

January 14 to February 14 to March 14 to April 14 (and today is April 22) - So, Petra is more than 3 months; almost 3 months and 1 week! She's so smart! And, so cute! And precious! We all love her so much, more and more, everyday! What was our life before this lil' Angel?

So, we've been pretty busy since the last time I made a "blog entry." Natasha, me, Petra, and Natasha's mom and dad all went home to Cincinnati for Easter and the week after. The time went by really fast. We did not get to do everything that we'd wanted to do. (It seems to be a reoccuring theme, everytime we go home)...

Petra was baptized on Easter Sunday, along with her cousin, Braden Jaspers.

Then, on Tuesday the next week, me, my dad, and Natasha's dad all flew out to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas! It was a really fun trip!

Allright, I'll post some photos.

11 weeks

Let's see... January 14 + 4 weeks = February 14 + 4 weeks = March 14 + 3 weeks = April 7 = Total = 11 weeks (I think).

We've been up to alot the past couple of days and weeks. I'll try to upload some pictures. We picked flowers at our friends, John and Julie's house. Volodymyr and I visited the Rodeo Bull Farm and the Harley Davidson store. And, we stopped by the Sheriff's Station.

More than 2 months old

Petra is more than 2 months old. Born January 14, and it's now March 24. She's getting bigger and more cuter everyday! Natasha's parents are helping us alot. They are watching Petra everyday, when we are at work. We know this will help to make Petra smarter, when she's older...

This past weekend, my cousin Bill and his wife Laura came to visit. We spent Saturday checking-out the Fredericksburg battlefield, and then on Sunday we walked around Washington D.C. I think Bill and Laura enjoyed their short weekend visit.

2 Month Anniversary

Petra was born on January 14, 2009 - and today is March 14, 2009... That means she is 2 months old!
She's getting bigger, stronger, and smarter each and every day. Our Ukrainian parents are helping so much - to raise Petra and take care of her better than any Day Care Center ever could. We're very lucky, happy, and thank-ful that they came to stay with us during this time - while Natasha goes back to work, and Petra still seems too young to be sent away every morning to a Day Care.
In other news, the economy seems to get worse everyday. Here's a link to a story about Orange County, VA - that I work for: http://www.nbc29.com/global/video/flash/popupplayer.asp?clipId1=3545620&at1=News+-+Special+Coverage&vt1=v&h1=Job+Cuts+Could+be+Made+in+Orange+in+April&d1=131533&redirUrl=www.nbc29.com&activePane=info&LaunchPageAdTag=homepage&clipFormat=flv&rnd=74059256

O.k., that's all for now. (Petra is set to be baptised on Easter - April 12).

Almost 6 weeks Old

Jan. 14 + 7 = 21; +7 = 28; + 7 = Feb. 4 + 7 = 11; + 7 = 18; + 7 = 25.

So, it looks like tomorrow Petra will be 6 weeks old. Natasha and her mom took Petra to the doctor, today. She weighs like 10 lbs. 3 ozs. and is 23 inches long, I think.

Our Ukrainian parents have been with us for 1 week, now. They haven't really done much, except hang-out around the house. It's really too cold to do much. Last Saturday, Raya went shopping with Natasha. On Sunday, I took Volodymyr to Wal-Mart.

Basically, we're just laying low, and waiting for the weather to warm-up. I'd like to go on a camping trip.

Today was the first time Natasha and I left Petra at home, with her grandma and grandpa (Babusiya and Didyuc).

O.k., not much more to say. I'll upload some pictures...

4 weeks old

January 14 + 7 =21; + 7 = 28; + 7 = February 4; + 7 = 11

Today is February 12. So, Petra has been with us for 4 weeks, now. 1 month! Where does the time go? Petra's growing more and more each day... Natasha's feeding her sooo much!

We took Petra to the Pediatrician, for a check-up this past Monday. I think she weighed 9 pounds 3 or 4 ounces. The doctor said she's growing at the correct pace. About 0.43 ounces a day, or something. Anything more than 0.25 ounces is normal.

Petra's Ukrainian grandparents will be here in 5 days! They're flying in on Tuesday night! I'm not sure what to expect.

Allright, take care. I'm sad to see more people have not voted on when Petra will roll-over... Also, Petra still has not smiled. Is that normal? I think Natasha's dad is going to be the one to make Petra smile, for the first time.

Later,
Kevin

Petra in Paper

An announcement of Petra's birth was in the newspaper, this past Thursday. (I actually wrote the little excerpt)...

We spoke with Natasha's Mom, today. She's counting the days (about 10 or 11 until she touches down in Washington D.C.)...
